Ready to learn American Mahjong? Whether you’ve never touched a tile or you’re looking for a structured introduction, this two-part beginner series will take you from complete beginner to confident player. Over two classes, you’ll build your skills step by step so you leave feeling comfortable joining open play, leagues, and future Mahj & Bougie events. Week 1: Mahjong 101 • Tile identification and terminology • Game setup and the Charleston • Basic rules and game flow • Beginner strategy • Play your first guided hands Week 2: Mahjong 102 • Read and navigate the current NMJL card • Learn how to choose a hand • Basic offensive and defensive strategy • Gameplay etiquette • Guided play with instructor coaching Your Registration Includes ✔ Mahjong 101 ✔ Mahjong 102 ✔ All equipment provided ✔ Small class size with personalized instruction ✔ Take-home resources ✔ Receive your Mahj & Bougie Loyalty Card and earn your first punch upon completing the series.
